Alesha M. Glass, DVM is a 2020 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Columbus, OH. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in Chemistry from Lycoming College, Williamsport, PA in 2016.
While at OSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine, she worked for 2 years in the veterinary hospitals general practice department as a student worker. In her spare time, she spent countless hours learning from her favorite mentor, Dr. Laurie Millward. Together they volunteered their time at The Humane Society of Madison County providing medical care for upwards of 20-30 animals at a time one Saturday a month. They both received the Bonsi Award in 2017 in recognition for their devotion to the animals in the humane society’s care and for going above and beyond the ordinary to help preserve the human-animal bond. This award was named after Bonsi, which was the name of a dog rescued in Madison county’s first successful neglect prosecution. Dr. Glass also joined Dr. Millward on veterinary outreach travels to low income/elderly peoples’ houses to take care of their pets. She was also involved with a non-profit organization known as Faithful Forgotten Best Friends (FFBF). This organization provides veterinary wellness services to the pets of owners who are low income, vulnerably-housed and even homeless within the Columbus, OH community.
