What is Fear Free?

Founded in 2016, Fear Free is an organization that provides education to veterinary professionals, the pet professional community, and pet owners on how to foster emotional wellbeing, enrichment, and the reduction of fear, anxiety, and stress in pets.

The Waynesboro Veterinary Clinic has incorporated fear free tools for decades (prior to when the Fear Free organization was established). However, since 2016, additional tools and protocols were developed by Fear Free that we incorporate to make coming to the vet a great experience for pets, pet parents, and our staff!
